It has a good initial tack and an open time of 10 to 60 minutes maximum, depending on the environmental conditions and the material being processed. Unlike traditional polyurethane adhesives, the eco-friendly adhesive for leather goods can be used without typical thermal reactivation. ECHOPEL 712 is also suitable for automatic one-way applications where surfaces are glued immediately.

However, for difficult materials, Keck Chimie recommends adding hardener at a rate of 3 to 5% of the weight.
